Isaiah 1:11-13 These verses have been misinterpreted by missionaries to mean that the sacrificial system is inadequate and is to be replaced with a new religion. On the contrary, sacrifices are effective when combined with repentance. What these verses show is the relative unimportance of blood sacrifice compared to repentance itself. For more explanation see the article THE MYTH OF INEFFECTIVE SACRIFICES.
Isaiah 1:16-17 Sacrifices are rejected by G-d only because the people did not correct their deeds (repent).
Isaiah 1:21 This verse is clear that Jerusalem was previously a righteous city. The contrast to "murderers" makes clear we are speaking of BEHAVIORAL righteous. This is a problem for Pauline theology which claims that all are wicked and it is not possible to be righteous in deeds.
Isaiah 1:26 Missionaries are not big fans of the Sanhedrin. Are they looking forward to its restoration as is Isaiah? And what role would the judges play when the Law is supposedly superceded? Evidenly the Law is eternal.
Isaiah 2:2 This is a messianic prophecy predicting the establishment of the final Temple. Jesus did not do this because he is not the messiah.
Isaiah 2:3 The Law remains eternal even in the Messianic age. It has not been superceded.
Isaiah 2:4 This messianic prophecy predicts world peace. Jesus did not bring universal peace.
Isaiah 3:10-11 Missionaries claim that all are wicked, that nobody can please G-d with his deeds. These verses show otherwise; the punishment for wicked actions is contrasted with the Prophet's praise for righteous actions which are beneficial (fruitful).
Isaiah 5:7 In this instance the people's behavior has been disappointing to G-d. However, G-d did hope for justice and righteouesness. How can missionaries explain this? They claim man is inherently wicked and cannot possible act righteously. The fact that G-d hoped otherwise refutes this theology. Of course G-d knows the future. But G-d's "hope" for righteousness expressed the ability of man to practice it.
Isaiah 6:2-3;8 This is an example of the majestic plural, where G-d speaks on behalf of His retinue of angels in the plural "we", although G-d Himself is singular. This sheds light on the statement "Let us Make Man" : see Commentary to Genesis 1:26.
Isaiah 7
Isaiah 11:1-2 These verses about the Messiah show that the Messiah is not divine. A divine being cannot have "fear of the L-rd." Isaiah 11:4-8 The Messianic age is characterized by full peace of earth. Jesus did not accomplish this.
Isaiah 11:9 The Messianic age is characterized by universal knowledge of G-d. There has not yet happened. Jesus is not the Messiah.
Isaiah 11:10-16 The Messianic age is characterized by ingathering of the exiles. Jesus did not accomplish this. For more explanation see the article What Is A Messianic Prophecy?.
Isaiah, Chapter 9
Isaiah 22:14 This is an example of bloodless atonement. There is no sacrifice to atone for this sin according to the Prophet. Some missionaries argue that death is indeed a form of blood sacrifice. That is not true. 1. The spilling of blood is not necessary to die. In missionary theology Jesus had to die a violent death rather than e.g. die in his sleep. Isaiah here gives no indication that the atoning death must be bloody. 2. Since personal death is an form of atonement, that refutes the missionary assertion that Jews today lack atonement. Jews today still die. Which is it? If death is blood sacrifice, how can missionaries say Jews lack blood sacrifice? If death is not blood sacrifice, that is proof that blood is not the only form of atonement. Either way the missionaries are refuted.
Isaiah 26:10 Missionaries claim that all are wicked in action, that righteousness is entirely based on faith, and human actions play no part in righteousness. In this verse we see this is not the case. The wicked are condemned for their actions and contrasted with the righteous. Clearly the righteous act correctly, according to G-d's will.
Isaiah 27:9 This is a clear example of bloodles atonement. Isaiah is speaking of the conclusion of the second exile and no Temple sacrifices exist. Missionaries are wrong to say all atonement requires blood.
Isaiah 32:1 This is not talking about the Messiah, as the context is the downfall of Assyria. Therefore it is Hezekiah. While missionaries say we are all sinners who cannot behave correctly, this verse shows Hezekiah and others will behave righteously.
Isaiah 32:2-4 32:3 And the eyes of them that see shall not be sealed, 32:4 And the heart of the hasty shall understand to know, and the ears of them that hear shall attend, and the tongue of the stammerers shall hasten to speak clearly. The actions of these righteous people will be fruit.
Isaiah 32:8 Here people are considered good because of their deeds, not merely because of their faith as missionaries preach.
Isaiah 32:16-18 32;17. And the deed of righteousness shall be peace, and the act of righteousness [shall be] tranquility and safety until eternity. 32:18. And My people shall dwell in a dwelling of peace, and in secure dwellings and in tranquil resting-places. The people will act righteously and be rewarded by G-d for doing so.
Isaiah 33:14-16 15. He who walks righteously, and speaks honestly, who contemns gain of oppression, who shakes his hands from taking hold of bribe, closes his ear from hearing of blood, and closes his eyes from seeing evil. 16. He shall dwell on high; rocky fortresses shall be his defense; his bread shall be given [him], his water sure. Missionaries say we are all sinners. This passage clearly contrasts sinners with those who are righteous according to their actions.
Isaiah, Chapter 37
Isaiah 40:1-2 40:2. Speak to the heart of Jerusalem and call to her, for she has become full [from] her host, for her iniquity has been conciliated, for she has taken from the hand of the L-rd double for all her sins. This passage demolishes the missionary argument that Jews can never receive atonement in the post-Temple period unless they accept Jesus. Isaiah clearly states that the Jewish people at the end of the exile will attain forgiveness for sin because of the suffering they endured. No blood sacrifice is involved here.
Isaiah 40:8 Since G-d Himself has declared His Law to be eternal, we are sure the missionaries are mistaken in claiming there is now a new salvation program
Isaiah 40:18-19 40:19. The graven image, the craftsman has melted, and the smith plates it with gold, and chains of silver he attaches. Isaiah teaches that G-d has no likeness to any created thing, and repudiates the idea that G-d is a material being. The missionary theology of the Incarnation is Scripturally abhorrent and is idolatry.
Isaiah 41:8 G-d's servant is Israel. This answers the question who is the G-d's Suffering Servant in Isaiah 53.
Isaiah 42:8 G-d will never share His glory with another. This refutes the Incarnation of Jesus. G-d does not share His divinity with a human being.
Isaiah 42:10 G-d is alone and exclusive. There is no Trinity. The Jewish people are called Servant. The Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53 is Israel. The Jews are G-d's witnesses. Not the Church.
Isaiah 42:11 There is no human savior such as Jesus.
Isaiah 44:1-2, 21 44:2. So said the L-rd your Maker, and He Who formed you from the womb shall aid you. Fear not, My servant Jacob, and Jeshurun whom I have chosen. 44:21. Remember these, O Jacob; and Israel, for you are My servant; I formed you that you be a servant to Me, Israel, do not forget Me. Israel is G-d's servant. The Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53 has been identified.
Isaiah 44:6 G-d is one alone and exclusive. There is no Trinity
Isaiah 45:5-6 45:6. In order that they know from the shining of the sun and from the west that there is no one besides Me; I am the L-rd and there is no other. G-d is one alone and exclusive. There is no Trinity.
Isaiah 45:7 Missionaries attribute evil to the Devil. That is not Scriptural. G-d created evil. It must be so; G-d's oneness implies that there is only one Force in the world. G-d intended evil so that Man would have free choice and serve G-d. G-d wants to freely reject evil, but this task is only meaningful if evil is present.
Isaiah 45:14 This verse, like many others, shows that the nations will recognize in the End of Days that religious truth is with the Jews. Christian missionaries themselves will turn to the Jews; the world will not turn to the missionaries.
Isaiah 45:18, 21-22 45:21. Declare and present, let them even take counsel together; who announced this from before, [who] declared it from then? Is it not I, the Lord, and there are no other gods besides Me, a just and saving God there is not besides Me 45:22. Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is no other. G-d is one alone and exclusive. There is no Trinity. Isaiah 45:10 G-d does not communicate His will in secret. Yet when we look at the commandments of the Law we do not understand what to do. The details are missing. Indeed G-d did not speak in secret. He gave an Oral Law to Moses which was passed down to the Sages of Israel.
Isaiah 46:5-6 46:6 Those who let gold run from the purse and weigh silver with the balance; they hire a goldsmith and he makes it a god, they kneel, yea they prostrate themselves. G-d has no likeness to anything in creation. G-d has no resemblance to physicality. The missionary Incarnation concept is idolatry.
Isaiah 46:9 G-d is one alone and exclusive. There is no Trinity.
Isaiah 48:12 G-d is one alone and exclusive. There is no Trinity.
Isaiah 48:17-18 48:18. Had you hearkened to My commandments, your peace would be as a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Verse 17 says that G-d disciplines us for our benefit. What is that benefit? Verse 18 answers: to keep the commandments. This is contrary to missionaries who say G-d gave us a Law we cannot keep to show us we cannot keep it. Missioanaries claim G-d disciplines us to show us we cannot keep the Law; the exact opposite of these verses. Verse 18 proves that when Israel does obey G-d's commandments they are indeed righteous. This is contrary to missionaries who say keeping G-d's commandments does not lead to righteousness. As to the question of whether it is possible to obey G-d's commandments, there are many verses that clearly say yes. Therefore, it is a fact that one can be righteous in G-d's eyes through the Mosaic Law.
Isaiah 48:20 G-d's servant is Israel. This is true in Isaiah 53 as well.
Isaiah 49:3 Israel is G-d's servant. This is clue to identifying the Suffering Servant of Isaiah 53.
Isaiah 49:6 It is the Jews who will instruct the nations in matters of religion. Jews will not be asking the Church what to do in the End of Days.
Isaiah 49:7 Here Isaiah speaks that Israel is the despised Servant of Isaiah 53. Israel is not apppreciated but will be exalted in the End of Days.
Isaiah 49:14-15 49:15 Shall a woman forget her sucking child, from having mercy on the child of her womb? These too shall forget, but I will not forget you. Despite the exile and Jewish imperfections G-d maintains His covenant with the Jewish people. Church Replacement Theology is false.
Isaiah 50:1 Even if the Jews sin, G-d does not "divorce" them. The covenant remains forever.
Isaiah 51:1 Missionaries say we are all wicked in G-d's eyes and must be "saved" by faith in Jesus. This verse speaks of those who are righteous. They are not righteous merely by faith; the word "pursue" implies righteous activity.. The fact that G-d praises them for action shows action is significant to Him.
Isaiah 51:4 The Prophet is clear that Torah [Law] will remain in the Messianic age and will spiritually enlighten. the Law is not superceded as missionaries claim.
Isaiah, Chapter 53 For a refutation of the missionary interpretation see the article What Is A Messianic Prophecy? Part II. For an explanation of why this passage is referring to Israel, see Rabbi Moshe Shulman's article Isaiah 53
Isaiah 54:7-8 54:8 With a little wrath did I hide My countenance for a moment from you, and with everlasting kindness will I have compassion on you," said your Redeemer, the L-rd. This refutes those who maintain that the exile shows G-d has rejected the Jewish people.
Isaiah 55:5-6 55:6. Seek the Lord when He is found, call Him when He is near. In the End of Days the nations will seek religious instruction from the Jews. Clearly they are not turning to them to learn Christianity; there are many gentile Christians who could offer such instruction. Christians themselves, most of whom belong to "the nations" will seek instruction in Judaism's teachings from the Jews.
Isaiah 55:7 True repentance is changing one's way [course of action]. Missionaries preach that we cannot correct our deeds since we are hopelessly wicked. They understand repentace to mean recognition that one is a sinner, who can only turn to Jesus in faith. This is not Biblical. This verse teaches a course of repentance contrary to missionaries.
Isaiah 56:1-2 56:2. Fortunate is the man who will do this and the person who will hold fast to it, he who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it and guards his hand from doing any evil. These verses are entirley contrary to missionaries, who preach that salvation comes from faith alone apart from actions. Here salvation comes to those who act righteously, something missionaries deny can be done.
Isaiah 56:4 The Sabbath remains in Messianic times. The Law is not superceded as missionaries claim.
Isaiah 56:7 Sacrifices are coming back. This refutes the idea that the Crucifixion is the ultimate sacrifice. In missionary theology the return of sacrifices makes no sense at all.
Isaiah 58:6-8 58:7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and moaning poor you shall bring home; when you see a naked one, you shall clothe him, and from your flesh you shall not hide. 58:8 Then your light shall break forth as the dawn, and your healing shall quickly sprout, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the L-rd shall gather you in. Isaiah is teaching the meaning of true repentance. It is not what missionaries teach. They claim man is too wicked to correct his actions, can only gain atonement by faith if Jesus' blood. Jewish Scripture teaches that genuine repentance means acting righteously.
Isaiah 59:20 For explanation of how the New Testament misquotes this verse and distorts its meaning, read the article What Is A Messianic Prophecy?.
Isaiah 59:21 The Jewish people will always study G-d's Law [Torah]. It remains forever. It is not superceded as missionaries claim.
Isaiah 60:3 The nations will follow the religious instructions of the Jews. Judaism is the true religion, not missionary faith.
Isaiah 61:8 The whole concept of "wages" is alien to missionaries. They preach that one can never merit G-d's favor and therefore must be "saved" by grace. This verse refutes this theology.
Isaiah 61:9 The Jews, and only the Jews, are and will be the Chosen People. The missionary view that "Israel" imcludes the gentile Church is totally without foundation.
